How To Use the Kaloud Lotus® I+ Hookah Heat Management Device

Learn how to properly care for Kaloud's revolutionary hookah heat management device, the Kaloud Lotus I+.

1

Start by heating your hookah charcoal

Before you begin assembling your Lotus I+ hookah heat management device, we suggest heating up your hookah charcoal. For the best shisha experience, we recommend the Aura premium charcoal, crafted from the finest Indonesian Coconuts and specially formulated to give the cleanest, most consistent, heat available.

2

Pack the Samsaris hookah bowl

Pack the tobacco up to the center spire of the Samsaris hookah bowls. There is no right or wrong way when it comes to packing your shisha tobacco. Shisha packing is more of an art than science, so we strongly suggest that you get creative and experiment with the amount and density of your pack to discover your favorite formula.

3

Place the Lotus I+ heat management system on the Samsaris hookah bowl

Put your Kaloud Lotus I+ on top of your Samsaris hookah bowl and arrange the heated charcoal inside the base.

4

Managing your hookah’s heat levels

There are three recommended ways to manage shisha heat levels with the Lotus I+ hookah heat management device. Having the lid off will produce the least amount of heat. Having the lid on with the vents open delivers medium heat. Closing the vents will create the most heat. More heat produces more smoke, however you should be careful not to develop too much heat, as the tobacco will taste burnt and potentially sting the back of your throat. Based on your preference, you can add or remove charcoal to achieve the perfect hookah experience for your taste. We strongly recommend that you use a pair of hookah tongs like the Vestara charcoal tongs when handling the heated charcoal.

Cleaning the Lotus I+ Hookah Heat Management System

Before cleaning, make sure your Lotus I+ heat management device is cool to the touch. Discard the used hookah charcoal and wipe it out the Lotus I+ to keep it clean between sessions. When it’s time for a deep clean, simply place your Lotus in hot tap water, let it sit for three hours and scrub it with a soft sponge. You may have to repeat this process a few times to get rid of charcoal build up. Learn more about the Lotus Heat Management Device by visiting www.kaloud.com/guide
