The Foundation
Fill the UltraPlastic Vessel
Place the vessel on a clean, flat surface. Fill with water until the downstem is submerged by approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm). Too little water reduces filtration; too much creates a heavy, restricted draw.

The Heart
Insert the Selestia LED Module
Carefully insert the 304 stainless steel downstem through the Selestia LED housing. Ensure all O-rings are properly seated and compressed for an airtight seal — you will feel a firm, confident resistance when correctly positioned.

The Connection
Attach the Kaloud Aeolis Hose
Connect your Kaloud Aeolis hose to the magnetic port. You will feel a satisfying, firm click — that is precision engineering at work. The magnetic connection ensures an airtight seal without threading or twisting.

Place the Lotus & Pack Shisha
Set the Kaloud Lotus heat management device on top of the bowl. Pack your shisha in a fluffy style — light, airy, not compressed. The tobacco should not touch the bottom of the Lotus. This ensures optimal heat distribution and maximum flavor convection.

Power On
Activate the Selestia LED System
Press and hold the power button on the Selestia module for 3 seconds to activate. The ambient breathing light cycle begins, indicating full connectivity and charge. Ensure it is fully charged before your first session via USB-C.

Troubleshooting & Optimization
Restricted Airflow
Cause
Water level is too high, O-rings are not seated, or the hose magnetic port is not fully clicked in.
Fix
Lower the water level to exactly 1 inch above the downstem tip. Re-seat each O-ring. Disconnect and firmly reconnect the hose until you hear the audible click.
Selestia LED Not Responding
Cause
Battery is depleted, the module is not making full contact, or the device requires a firmware reset.
Fix
Charge fully via USB-C (1–2 hours). Remove and reinsert the module to restore contact. For a reset: hold the power button for 10 seconds until the light pulses white, then releases. The breathing pattern will restart upon reconnection.
Flavor Profile Weak or Harsh
Cause
Shisha is packed too densely, heat is too aggressive, or the bowl is overloaded.
Fix
The Calix 2.0 performs best with the Kaloud Lotus. Pack shisha light and fluffy — not touching the bottom of the Lotus. If flavor is harsh, remove one coal and allow the Lotus to cool for 2 minutes.
Low Smoke Output
Cause
Insufficient heat, air leaks in the assembly, or coals not fully lit.
Fix
Ensure natural coconut coals are fully lit on all sides (approx. 8–10 minutes on a coil burner). Check all connection points for air leaks. Confirm the hose magnetic port is fully engaged with an audible click.

Maintenance & Care
After Every Session
Rinse the UltraPlastic vessel, downstem, and hose with warm water. Empty the water immediately to prevent residue build-up.
Weekly Deep Clean
Soak stainless steel components in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap. Rinse the Selestia housing with a damp cloth — never submerge the electronic module.
O-Ring Care
Inspect O-rings monthly. Apply a thin layer of food-grade glycerin to keep them supple and ensure airtight seals. Replace if cracked or brittle.
Selestia Module
