What is a hookah heat management device?

A heat management device, or HMD, is a metal lid that sits on your bowl and holds the charcoal above the shisha instead of directly on foil. It controls how much heat reaches the tobacco, which means fewer harsh pulls, less ash, and a much longer session.

Is a Lotus better than foil?

Yes, for most people. Foil burns unevenly and needs constant coal management. The Lotus distributes heat evenly, keeps ash off your bowl, and lets you open or close the lid to raise or lower temperature mid session.

Which Lotus should I buy?

The Lotus I+ is the proven original in aerospace-grade materials. The Lotus II improves airflow. The Lotus III is the flagship with the highest performance and the best heat control of the three.

How long does a hookah session last with a Lotus?

Typically 45 to 75 minutes on a single bowl, depending on your charcoal, packing method and how you manage the lid.

Does the Lotus fit my hookah bowl?

The Lotus is designed for Kaloud Samsaris bowls and fits most standard hookah bowls. For lipless bowls, the Kaloud silicone sleeve creates a snug, stable seal.

How do I clean a Lotus HMD?

Let it cool completely, tap out the ash, then wash with warm water and mild soap. Avoid abrasive pads so you do not damage the finish.

The Kaloud Lotus created the heat management device category. A hookah HMD replaces foil, holds your charcoal above the shisha, and lets you control heat precisely so sessions last longer and taste cleaner.

Choose the Lotus I+ in aerospace-grade materials, the Lotus II with improved airflow, or the flagship Lotus III for the highest performance yet. Every Lotus works with Kaloud Samsaris bowls and most standard hookah bowls.
